This reverts commit 98921dbd00 ("Bluetooth: Use devm_kzalloc in
btusb.c file").
In btusb_probe(), we use devm_kzalloc() to allocate the btusb data. This
ties the lifetime of all the btusb data to the binding of a driver to
one interface, INTF. In a driver that binds to other interfaces, ISOC
and DIAG, this is an accident waiting to happen.
The issue is revealed in btusb_disconnect(), where calling
usb_driver_release_interface(&btusb_driver, data->intf) will have devm
free the data that is also being used by the other interfaces of the
driver that may not be released yet.
To fix this, revert the use of devm and go back to freeing memory
explicitly.

To prevent this, ensure that the HCI_UART_REGISTERED flag is set before
processing received data. If the protocol is not registered, return

The btrtl_initialize() function checks that rtl_load_file() either
had an error or it loaded a zero length file. However, if it loaded
a zero length file then the error code is not set correctly. It
results in an error pointer vs NULL bug, followed by a NULL pointer
dereference. This was detected by Smatch:

Do not set 'HCI_UART_PROTO_READY' before call 'hci_uart_register_dev()'.
Possible race is when someone calls 'hci_tty_uart_close()' after this bit
is set, but 'hci_uart_register_dev()' wasn't done. This leads to access
to uninitialized fields. To fix it let's set this bit after device was
registered (as before patch c411c62cc133) and to fix previous problem let's
add one more bit in addition to 'HCI_UART_PROTO_READY' which allows to
perform power up without original bit set (pls see commit c411c62cc133).

'hci_register_dev()' calls power up function, which is executed by
kworker - 'hci_power_on()'. This function does access to bluetooth chip
using callbacks from 'hci_ldisc.c', for example 'hci_uart_send_frame()'.
Now 'hci_uart_send_frame()' checks 'HCI_UART_PROTO_READY' bit set, and
if not - it fails. Problem is that 'HCI_UART_PROTO_READY' is set after
'hci_register_dev()', and there is tiny chance that 'hci_power_on()' will
be executed before setting this bit. In that case HCI init logic fails.
Patch moves setting of 'HCI_UART_PROTO_READY' before calling function
'hci_uart_register_dev()'.

According to USB Spec 2.0 Section 5.7.3 Interrupt Transfer Packet Size
Constraints a interrupt transfer is considered complete when the size is 0
(ZPL) or < wMaxPacketSize:
'When an interrupt transfer involves more data than can fit in one
data payload of the currently established maximum size, all data
payloads are required to be maximum-sized except for the last data
payload, which will contain the remaining data. An interrupt transfer
is complete when the endpoint does one of the following:
• Has transferred exactly the amount of data expected
• Transfers a packet with a payload size less than wMaxPacketSize or
transfers a zero-length packet'

disable_irq() after request_irq() still has a time gap in which
interrupts can come. request_irq() with IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag will
disable IRQ auto-enable when request IRQ.

Requesting transfers of the exact same size of wMaxPacketSize may result
in ZPL/short-transfer since the USB stack cannot handle it as we are
limiting the buffer size to be the same as wMaxPacketSize.
Also, in terms of throughput this change has the same effect to
interrupt endpoint as 290ba20081 "Bluetooth: Improve USB driver throughput
by increasing the frame size" had for the bulk endpoint, so users of the
advertisement bearer (e.g. BT Mesh) may benefit from this change.

Commit 272970be3d ("Bluetooth: hci_qca: Fix driver shutdown on closed
serdev") will cause below regression issue:
BT can't be enabled after below steps:
cold boot -> enable BT -> disable BT -> warm reboot -> BT enable failure
if property enable-gpios is not configured within DT|ACPI for QCA6390.
The commit is to fix a use-after-free issue within qca_serdev_shutdown()
by adding condition to avoid the serdev is flushed or wrote after closed
but also introduces this regression issue regarding above steps since the
VSC is not sent to reset controller during warm reboot.
Fixed by sending the VSC to reset controller within qca_serdev_shutdown()
once BT was ever enabled, and the use-after-free issue is also fixed by
this change since the serdev is still opened before it is flushed or wrote.
Verified by the reported machine Dell XPS 13 9310 laptop over below two
kernel commits:

This patch adds support for QCA2066 firmware patch and NVM downloading.
as the RF performance of QCA2066 SOC chip from different foundries may

Add support for the Bluetooth chip codenamed APACHE which is part of
WCN3988.
The firmware for this chip has a slightly different naming scheme
compared to most others. For ROM Version 0x0200 we need to use
apbtfw10.tlv + apnv10.bin and for ROM version 0x201 apbtfw11.tlv +
apnv11.bin

A recent commit fixed the code that parses the firmware files before
downloading them to the controller but introduced a memory leak in case
the sanity checks ever fail.
Make sure to free the firmware buffer before returning on errors.

The NVM configuration files used by WCN3988 and WCN3990/1/8 have two
sets of configuration tags that are enclosed by a type-length header of
type four which the current parser fails to account for.
Instead the driver happily parses random data as if it were valid tags,
something which can lead to the configuration data being corrupted if it
ever encounters the words 0x0011 or 0x001b.
As is clear from commit b63882549b ("Bluetooth: btqca: Fix the NVM
baudrate tag offcet for wcn3991") the intention has always been to
process the configuration data also for WCN3991 and WCN3998 which
encodes the baud rate at a different offset.
Fix the parser so that it can handle the WCN3xxx configuration files,
which has an enclosing type-length header of type four and two sets of
TLV tags enclosed by a type-length header of type two and three,
respectively.
Note that only the first set, which contains the tags the driver is
currently looking for, will be parsed for now.
With the parser fixed, the software in-band sleep bit will now be set
for WCN3991 and WCN3998 (as it is for later controllers) and the default
baud rate 3200000 may be updated by the driver also for WCN3xxx
controllers.
Notably the deep-sleep feature bit is already set by default in all
configuration files in linux-firmware.

Qualcomm ROME controllers can be registered from the Bluetooth line
discipline and in this case the HCI UART serdev pointer is NULL.
Add the missing sanity check to prevent a NULL-pointer dereference when
wakeup() is called for a non-serdev controller during suspend.
Just return true for now to restore the original behaviour and address
the crash with pre-6.2 kernels, which do not have commit e9b3e5b8c6
("Bluetooth: hci_qca: only assign wakeup with serial port support") that
causes the crash to happen already at setup() time.

The optional variants for the gpiod_get() family of functions return NULL
if the GPIO in question is not associated with this device. They return
ERR_PTR() on any other error. NULL descriptors are graciously handled by
GPIOLIB and can be safely passed to any of the GPIO consumer interfaces
as they will return 0 and act as if the function succeeded. If one is
using the optional variant, then there's no point in checking for NULL.

When the vhci device is opened in the two-step way, i.e.: open device
then write a vendor packet with requested controller type, the device
shall respond with a vendor packet which includes HCI index of created
interface.
When the virtual HCI is created, the host sends a reset request to the
controller. This request is processed by the vhci_send_frame() function.
However, this request is send by a different thread, so it might happen
that this HCI request will be received before the vendor response is
queued in the read queue. This results in the HCI vendor response and
HCI reset request inversion in the read queue which leads to improper
behavior of btvirt:

It is not allowed to call kfree_skb() from hardware interrupt
context or with hardware interrupts being disabled.
So replace kfree_skb() with dev_kfree_skb_irq() under
spin_lock_irqsave(). Compile tested only.

In btsdio_probe, the data->work is bound with btsdio_work. It will be
started in btsdio_send_frame.
If the btsdio_remove runs with a unfinished work, there may be a race
condition that hdev is freed but used in btsdio_work. Fix it by
canceling the work before do cleanup in btsdio_remove.

Since commit 3e4be65eb8 ("Bluetooth: hci_qca: Add poweroff support
during hci down for wcn3990"), the setup callback which registers the
debugfs interface can be called multiple times.
This specifically leads to the following error when powering on the
controller:
debugfs: Directory 'ibs' with parent 'hci0' already present!
Add a driver flag to avoid trying to register the debugfs interface more
than once.

On some devices the BCM Bluetooth adapter does not have a valid bdaddr set.
btbcm.c currently sets HCI_QUIRK_INVALID_BDADDR to indicate when this is
the case. But this requires users to manual setup a btaddr, by doing e.g.:
btmgmt -i hci0 public-addr 'B0:F1:EC:82:1D:B3'
Which means that Bluetooth will not work out of the box on such devices.
To avoid this (where possible) hci_bcm sets: HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY
which tries to get the bdaddr from devicetree.
But this only works on devicetree platforms. On UEFI based platforms
there is a special Broadcom UEFI variable which when present contains
the devices bdaddr, just like how there is another UEFI variable which
contains wifi nvram contents including the wifi MAC address.
Add support for getting the bdaddr from this Broadcom UEFI variable,
so that Bluetooth will work OOTB for users on devices where this
UEFI variable is present.
This fixes Bluetooth not working on for example Asus T100HA 2-in-1s.

Basically all Intel controllers support both Central/Peripheral
LE states.
This patch enables the LE States quirk by default on all
Solar and Magnertor Intel controllers.

fixed bug by this patch have resolved by commit 73f7b171b7 ("Bluetooth:
btsdio: fix use after free bug in btsdio_remove due to race condition").
