5652ccc86a Merge patch series "video: display: refactor display_read_timing to avoid code duplication"
Julien Stephan <jstephan@baylibre.com> says:

Commit 2dcf143398 ("dm: video: Repurpose the 'displayport' uclass to 'display'")
left the display_read_edid() function unused by mistake.

This series addresses that oversight and introduces a new useful cmd.

Patch 1:
 - Refactors display_read_timing() to use the existing
   display_read_edid() function, eliminating redundant code.
 - Marks display_read_edid() as static since it is not used outside of
   the file.

Patch 2:
 - Adds a new read_edid command, which can be very useful for debugging
   or developing new display drivers.
 - As this command uses display_read_edid(), the function is made
   non-static again.

5e9b0b56ad cmd: add new command to read edid
Add a new command to read EDID info from connected display.

When applicable EDID can also be retrieved by commands such as:

  i2c dev x
  i2c edid 0x50

but the new read_edid function relies on the implementation of the
read_edid callback from DISPLAY driver.

28b81c07be Merge patch series "Remove usage of CMD_BOOTx from SPL code"
Anshul Dalal <anshuld@ti.com> says:

Hi all,

We currently make use of CMD_BOOTI and CMD_BOOTZ in the SPL boot flow in
falcon mode, this isn't correct since all CMD_* configs are only meant
for U-Boot proper and not the SPL.

Therefore this patch set adds new LIB_BOOT[IMZ] configs that allow for
more granular selection of their respective compilation targets.

Additionally, this also allows us to more easily disable support for
raw images from secure falcon mode (SPL_OS_BOOT_SECURE) by doing the
following:

  config LIB_SPL_BOOTI
    ...
    depends on SPL_OS_BOOT && !SPL_OS_BOOT_SECURE
    ...

823e453987 spl: remove usage of CMD_BOOTx from image parsing
Using CMD_* configs from spl doesn't make logical sense. Therefore
this patch replaces the checks for CMD_BOOTx with newly added library
symbols LIB_BOOT[IMZ] and SPL_LIB_BOOT[IMZ] which are enabled by their
respective CMD_* or SPL_* counterparts.

On platforms with non-secure falcon mode, SPL_BOOTZ is enabled by
default for 32-bit ARM systems and SPL_BOOTI is enabled by default for
64-bit ARM and RISCV.

The respective C files (image.c/zimage.c) are compiled based on library
symbols $(PHASE_)LIB_BOOTx instead which are in turn selected by both
CMD_BOOTx and SPL_BOOTx as required.

When I migrated this to Kconfig in commit 68e54040cc ("sandbox: Move

details. As explained in the README, this is valid for ARM too. So start
by making this be a prompted question and CMD_IOTRACE depend on IO_TRACE
being enabled. Next, migrate the information out of README and in to
the appropriate help text for existing options in Kconfig. Finally, make
this option be default y on SANDBOX but not selected as it's valid to

Adriano Cordova <adrianox@gmail.com> says:

Enable HTTP server in CI to support HTTP tests in pytest

QEMU does not emulate an HTTP server, unlike other services like DHCP or TFTP.
To enable HTTP tests during CI runs, start a simple Python HTTP server
on port 80. This allows tests that require HTTP access to run.

The HTTP server is launched on the host. For QEMU environments launched
with '-netdev,user' this means that the HTTP server runs together with DHCP
at 10.0.2.2. HTTP testing needs to be explicitly enabled with
env__efi_helloworld_net_http_test_skip = False.

We also default `WGET=y` in `ARCH_QEMU` configurations so that these HTTP
tests are included automatically when using QEMU in CI.

Sean Edmond <seanedmond@microsoft.com> says:

In our datacenter application, a single DHCP server is servicing 36000+ clients.
Improvements are required to the DHCPv4 retransmission behavior to align with
RFC and ensure less pressure is exerted on the server:
- retransmission backoff interval maximum is configurable
  (environment variable bootpretransmitperiodmax)
- initial retransmission backoff interval is configurable
  (environment variable bootpretransmitperiodinit)
- transaction ID is kept the same for each BOOTP/DHCPv4 request
  (not recreated on each retry)

For our application we'll use:
- bootpretransmitperiodmax=16000
- bootpretransmitperiodinit=2000

A new configuration BOOTP_RANDOM_XID has been added to enable a randomized
BOOTP/DHCPv4 transaction ID.

The commit cb9ae40a16 ("tools: mkfwumdata: add logic to append vendor

c5032bf3f6 Merge patch series "cmd: fuse: Introduce fuse writebuff sub-system and clean up"
Harsha Vardhan V M <h-vm@ti.com> says:

This patch series introduces the fuse writebuff sub-system command and
makes improvements to the existing fuse implementation by removing the
custom string functions. The patches are required to be applied in
sequence.

The series consists of the following changes:
Patch 1 removes custom string functions and replaces them with standard
string functions.
Patch 2 introduces fuse.rst documentation for fuse commands.
Patch 3 introduces the fuse writebuff sub-system command, allowing to
write a structured buffer in memory to fuses, and implementing the
necessary function calls.
Patch 4 enables the fuse sub-system in the K3 platform.
Patch 5 updates the fuse.rst documentation to include details about the
new fuse writebuff command.

These changes aim to improve the fuse sub-system by the removal of
custom string functions and the addition of the fuse writebuff
command improves fuse programming workflows by allowing to write a
structured buffer in memory to efuses.
