94b8145189 sandbox: Update linker scripts to ensure appended device tree is aligned
With commit 0535e46d55 ("scripts/dtc: Update to upstream version
v1.7.2-35-g52f07dcca47c") it is now a fatal error to U-Boot if our
device tree is not 8-byte aligned. In commit 85f586035d ("ARM: OMAP2+:
Pad SPL binary to 8-byte alignment before DTB") Beleswar Padhi explains
that we must have ALIGN(x) statements inside of a section to ensure that
padding is included and not simply that the linker address counter is
incremented. To that end, this patch:
- Aligns the final section before _image_binary_end (for xPL phases) by
8-bytes by adding '. = ALIGN(8);' to the final section before the
  symbol.
- Ensure that we do have alignment by adding an ASSERT so that when not
aligned we fail to link (and explain why).

aff0f4d30e Revert "clk: Return value calculated by ERR_PTR"
While this change was intended to fix a mistake in the code, of calling
the ERR_PTR macro but not making use of the result, it seems that
functionally platforms depend on the loop not existing here. The TI K3
families of platforms for example were broken by this commit.

This reverts commit fe780310cf.

7da7ca7cf5 Makefile: use --output-target instead of --target
The objcopy man-page teaches:

    --target=bfdname
Use bfdname as the object format for
both the input and the output file

This implies for --target=efi-app-x86_64 that the input file would have
to be an EFI app.

Objcopy in binutils 2.45 checks this more strictly than previous versions
and refuses to accept an ELF file as input with --target=efi-app-x86_64.

Replace --target by --output-target for building sandbox and x86 EFI
binaries.

bc1819331e Merge patch series "clk: Return value calculated by ERR_PTR"
Andrew Goodbody <andrew.goodbody@linaro.org> says:

Smatch reported an error where a value calculated by ERR_PTR was not
used. Fixing this to return the generated value led to a test failure
which meant updating the sandbox clock code so that it would still cause
the tests to pass with the above correction.
Debugging this problem led to a SIGSEGV which is addressed in 1/3.
Possible memory leaks noticed are addressed in 3/3.

fe780310cf clk: Return value calculated by ERR_PTR
In clk_set_default_get_by_id ret is passed to ERR_PTR but nothing is
done with the value that this calculates which is obviously not the
intention of the code. This is confirmed by the code around where this
function is called.
Instead return the value from ERR_PTR.

Then fixup the sandbox code so that the test dm_test_clk does not fail
as it relied on the broken behaviour.

Finally disable part of the test that does not work correctly with
CLK_AUTO_ID

This issue found by Smatch.

9086b64ca0 power-domain: Add support for refcounting (again)
It is very surprising that such an uclass, specifically designed to
handle resources that may be shared by different devices, is not keeping
the count of the number of times a power domain has been
enabled/disabled to avoid shutting it down unexpectedly or disabling it
several times.

Doing this causes troubles on eg. i.MX8MP because disabling power
domains can be done in recursive loops were the same power domain
disabled up to 4 times in a row. PGCs seem to have tight FSM internal
timings to respect and it is easy to produce a race condition that puts
the power domains in an unstable state, leading to ADB400 errors and
later crashes in Linux.

Some drivers implement their own mechanism for that, but it is probably
best to add this feature in the uclass and share the common code across
drivers. In order to avoid breaking existing drivers, refcounting is
only enabled if the number of subdomains a device node supports is
explicitly set in the probe function. ->xlate() callbacks will return
the power domain ID which is then being used as the array index to reach
the correct refcounter.

As we do not want to break existing users while stile getting
interesting error codes, the implementation is split between:
- a low-level helper reporting error codes if the requested transition
  could not be operated,
- a higher-level helper ignoring the "non error" codes, like EALREADY and
  EBUSY.

CI tests using power domains are slightly updated to make sure the count
of on/off calls is even and the results match what we *now* expect. They
are also extended to test the low-level functions.

a27844cc94 sandbox: add initjmp()
Add initjm[() to sandbox, a non-standard extension to setjmp()/
longjmp() allowing to initialize a jump buffer with a function pointer
and a stack pointer. This will be useful to later introduce threads.
With this new function it becomes possible to longjmp() to a particular
function pointer (rather than to a point previously reached during
program execution as is the case with setjmp()), and with a custom stack.
Both things are needed to spin off a new thread. Then the usual
setjmp()/longjmp() pair is enough to save and restore a context, i.e.,
switch thread. The implementation is taken verbatim from barebox [1] with
the exception of the additional stack_sz argument. It is quite complex
because contrary to U-Boot platform code we don't know how the system's
C library implements the jump buffer, so we can't just write the function
and stack pointers into it.

8bc3542384 Merge patch series "pxe: Precursor series for supporting read_all() in extlinux / PXE"
Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> says:

This series includes some patches related to allowing read_all() to be
used with the extlinux / PXE bootmeths.

These patches were split out from the stb4 series, since it will need to
have additional patches for LWIP, to avoid breaking PXE booting when
LWIP is used.

098407e673 boot: arm: riscv: sandbox: Add a format for the booti file
Arm invented a new format for arm64 and something similar is also used
with RISC-V. Add this to the list of supported formats and provide a way
for the format to be detected on both architectures.

Update the genimg_get_format() function to support this.

Fix up switch() statements which don't currently mention this format.
Booti does not support a ramdisk, so this can be ignored.

7082c9e656 common: clean up setjmp.h
Separate setjmp.h into an architecture independent part and an architecture
specific part. This simplifies moving from using struct jmp_buf_data
directly to using type jmp_buf in our code which is the C compliant way.

e6883b6b30 sandbox: remap memory load addresses
The existing memory layout places the bloblist at 0xb000 and the fdt at
0x100, resulting in a 0xaf00 size constraint for the fdt. This constraint
has been reached. Lets modify the layout by moving the bloblist to 0x100,
device tree to 0x1000 and placing early memory allocation after pre-console
buffer at 0xf4000. This should guarantee sufficient memory allocation for
future expansion.

592b6f394a led: add function naming option from linux
in linux we have the option to create the name of a led
optionally through the following properties:

- function
- color
- function-enumerator

This patch adds support for parsing this properties if there
is no label property.

The led name is created in led_post_bind() and we need some
storage place for it. Currently this patch prevents to use
malloc() instead it stores the name in new member :

        char name[LED_MAX_NAME_SIZE];

of struct led_uc_plat. While at it append led tests for the
new feature.

Add a function to show the stats, so we can decide when to print it.

This slightly adjusts the output, so that any 'test not found' message
appears on its own line after all other output.

The 'failures' message now appears in lower case so update pytest
accordingly.
